This policy applies to ascent-labs.ch and any subdomains operated under the ascelia brand.

2. Scope

Processing on this website is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). Visitors from Switzerland are additionally protected under the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP/revDSG).

3. Data we process on this website

We only process data on this website that is strictly necessary to operate it and to respond to enquiries you send us. Specifically:

• Server logs. When you visit ascent-labs.ch, the hosting provider automatically records technical information: IP address, requested URL, timestamp, referrer, user agent. This data is required to deliver the page, identify abuse and maintain security. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: up to 30 days.
• Email enquiries. If you write to ludovico@kraftkinz.com via the contact links on this site, we receive your email address, name (if provided) and the content of your message. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Retention: as long as necessary to handle your request, plus statutory retention periods.

This website does not use analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social plugins, A/B testing tools or embedded third-party scripts beyond what is listed in the next section.

4. Cookies

ascent-labs.ch sets no marketing or analytics cookies. The site may set strictly necessary cookies that are required for it to function (for example, to remember your language preference). These are not used for tracking.

5. Hosting and processors

The marketing website is currently hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, in EU-based regions where configurable. We are in the process of migrating hosting of this marketing website to an EU-based provider so that all hosting takes place inside the EU.

Important: this hosting arrangement applies only to the public marketing website. It does not apply to client deployments of the ascelia platform. Client systems run on Swiss or EU infrastructure (or on the client’s own premises) as specified in each engagement contract.

Email correspondence is handled via standard business email infrastructure operated by Alpine Valley GmbH.

6. International transfers

Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA, transfers are based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or another valid Article 46 GDPR transfer mechanism with the relevant processor.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR (and, where applicable, the revFADP/revDSG) you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• rectify inaccurate data;
• request erasure (“right to be forgotten”);
• restrict or object to processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the legal basis.

To exercise these rights, email ludovico@kraftkinz.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at) or, for visitors from Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch).

8. No training on customer data

We do not train AI models on customer or visitor data. Data sent to us through this website is used solely to respond to your enquiry.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our infrastructure or applicable law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
